For a while now I have been involved with Revolve Dance Crew, a group of extremely talented dancers. I first became connected with the group kind of randomly but am now very thankful for being introduced. I shoot the dance crew every monday night at their practices as they learn choreography and run through their performances. I am constantly being impressed with what they can do with their bodies. They create such beautiful art by using the music and movement to express themselves. After going to practices every week I still get shocked with what they are capable of. What makes it even better is how much fun they have while also being completely engrossed in what they are doing. We are constantly laughing and joking but all the while they are learning very complex, quick, and difficult dance moves and executing them. I have been able to see the entire process from practice to performance. I have witnessed the amount of work it takes to make it great, and have seen the success it produces.  With their talent, attitude, and determination the Revolve Dance Crew members serve as my inspiration, not just in the form of a subject to capture photographs of but in the sense that I strive to put as much effort and passion into my work as they do theirs. What I am most thankful for, even more than the opportunity and experience that they are allowing to have by thoroughly photographing them, is the fact that I have not just acquired clients or another club to say that I shoot for. They are my friends, people I am thankful to have and who are quite often the highlight of my weeks when they let me come take pictures of them dancing.
